TriHealth Bridge

April 23, 2021

Hello TriHealth family,

The CDC is currently assessing the use of the Johnson & Johnson (J&J) vaccine and we should receive their guidance on potentially lifting the pause on J&J as soon as this weekend. As we wait for that recommendation, I wanted to provide a bit of perspective through this week’s video on the J&J vaccine as it relates to incidences of stroke-like symptoms. I also discuss the small number of individuals who contract COVID-19 after being vaccinated, often referred to as “breakthrough COVID cases,” which you may have seen in the media recently. As always, please remember that all evidence proves that these vaccines are safe and effective in protecting us from this virus. Reaching herd immunity through vaccination is our only chance at eradicating COVID-19 from our lives, so please continue to encourage your family and friends who may still be on the fence to receive their vaccine.

Thank you for all you do every day to safely care for and support our TriHealth patients and the community.
