TriHealth Bridge

November 11, 2020

The TriHealth Lifting Caregivers (TLC) team member support program is offering monthly Peer Support training for any TriHealth team members interested in providing emotional first aid to team members who have been involved in a traumatic event or are struggling to manage stress.

The training class is 90 minutes long and limited to 20 participants to allow for proper physical distancing. Training participants can expect to develop an understanding of the impact of secondary trauma, will learn to recognize the common reactions of second victims, will learn the six stages of recovery from a traumatic event, and will learn the best practice skills needed to provide a peer support intervention. The November and December trainings are scheduled for Wednesday, November 18, from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at Good Samaritan Hospital and Wednesday, December 16, from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at Bethesda North Hospital. Any TriHealth team member who is interested can register for the training regardless of their work location or their role through this link.
