TriHealth Bridge

June 30, 2020

On Tuesday, June 2, Governor DeWine re-opened all levels of healthcare services within the state of Ohio, which has allowed TriHealth to get "back in business." For us, that means providing quality care to our communities, supporting our patients during their sacred moments, and getting our team members back to work!

While TriHealth hasn't returned to pre-COVID-19 patient volumes and revenue, we are taking the appropriate steps and making the difficult decisions required to adjust to the new realities of providing healthcare during an on-going pandemic.

We remain optimistic that we will return to 90-95% of our previous baselines. As patient volumes slowly return, and we implement the COVID-19 financial recovery plan, we can refocus on returning team members to work.

Your leader will help you navigate when, where, and how you return to work. The Workforce Reactivation Decision Guide will help you understand the process and find quick links to resources.

Non-patient-facing Team Members Returning to Their Regular Scheduled Hours

By Monday, July 6, team members who were not directly impacted by job eliminations in non-variable, fixed staff positions across our locations will return to their regular scheduled hours. This may mean you return to work on-site or work remotely.

You'll no longer use PTO or PTO plus EIB banks to supplement your pay or take time unpaid if you chose that option.

Patient-facing Team Members Returning Based on Volume

Most team members in patient-facing variable positions, will return to work based on patient volume, according to the standard forecast and scheduling process. We will continue to monitor patient volume to ensure we are quickly responding to the needs of the community.

Working Remotely

If you have been productively working off-site, speak to your leader about continuing to work remotely, if it aligns with your team's needs. You should have a conversation about these expectations and your schedule for working on- and off-site, as applicable. To support this change, TriHealth is reviewing our current remote work policy to make it more flexible. We'll share more in a few weeks.

If you are looking for tips to help you be productive and engage with your fellow team members while working remotely, check out the Tips for Working Remotely.

Staying Healthy at Work

As more team members return to work on-site, the health and safety measures we've put into place – mask and cleaning protocols, and physical distancing – will continue. To help you return to work safely and confidently, review the COVID-19 Welcome Back to Work Tips & Quick Reference. You'll find tips on staying healthy, keeping safe, and minimum physical distancing.

When you are working on-site, keep the Managing Meetings with Physical Distance guidelines in mind during meetings with fellow team members or community members.
