The schedule for Corporate Clinical Orientation dates for 2021 is now available. The dates for clinical orientation and training are aligned with the general New Team Member Orientation (NTMO) and EPIC Training dates for all new clinical team members joining the TriHealth family. The schedule is intended to help teams plan for orientation and training of 2021 clinical hires and transfers into clinical roles.
Corporate Clinical Orientation Schedule 2021
In 2021, individuals hired for a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) position are no longer required to attend the Great Oaks PCA training program because the training will be provided in-house by TriHealth Corporate Clinical Education. Attendees will clock in and out of the on-site training at Norwood. EPIC Training is included in the plan for PCA orientation and training. For individuals hired into the dual role of PCA and UC, EPIC training will also incorporate Unit Coordinator training for these individuals.
The Student Nurse PCA orientation has also been modified. In 2021, they will receive an online orientation module, attend live EPIC Training and complete clinical competency assessments during their unit-based orientation period. All individuals hired for the Student Nurse PCA role must complete one rotation in a clinical experience as a student nurse to be eligible for the role. Student Nurse PCAs who will also function as a Unit Coordinator will need to be scheduled to attend a separate Unit Coordinator orientation.
