Recently, the team on 11 ABCD was honored through the Good Samaritan Foundation’s Grateful Patients and Families Program for the outstanding care they provided to a patient and her family.

Along with the gift, the patient and her family wrote the following note of gratitude:

“Dear Jess and Team,

You may never know how much your care, love and support means to me and my family.  It is one of the worst times and best. Worst because death is unpredictable, but occurs for all of us.  Best because of Good Sam and your team.  Best because in this Covid world, I trusted my parents and myself would be taken care of, not because I work here, but because that is the values that every team member lives and serves every day.

My brothers and sisters and I want you to use this for your team.”

Honorees left to right include:

Jessica Dahnke, Aimelin Schweitzer, Elise Freel, Shelby Hutton, Nancy Odipo, Elise Hand, Nikki Emig.

Not pictured: Taylor Keaton, Jourdon Vance, Megan Hibbard, Marcia Battle, Sage Rose, Beth Lammers, Jeanna Neville, Angie Dorsey and Amanda Keefe

The Grateful Patients and Families Program allows a patient or their family to make a donation in honor of a physician, nurse, or team member who made a difference and share a note of thanks.

Donations provide support for projects and services in the Good Samaritan Region.
