Please join us in congratulating Elizabeth Geiger as the first awardee of the APEX Award for Advanced Practice in Excellence. Liz is certified in women’s health and currently works at the Bethesda North OB/GYN Center. She has been a TriHealth team member for five years. She was nominated for this award by Dr. Dave Dhanraj and practice manager Linda Estep.

Liz is known by her colleagues for being an effective communicator. She is extremely productive and always provides compassionate care to all her patients. Liz took the initiative of researching, launching and leading the Centering Pregnancy Program. She was responsible for applying for and and receiving $100,000 to support the Program. With this money she was able to:

• Help non-English speaking populations, specifically Spanish and Uzbekian.
• Set up and participate in physician and provider training for the entire Cincinnati area.
• Provide expert leadership to The Centering Pregnancy Program, which received accreditation within the first year of establishment.

In her spare time she is a wife and mother of four, active in her church community, and volunteers as a Brownie Troop Leader.

Liz was publicly recognized at the annual APC Forum on September 11 by many of her APC peers.
