A grateful family made a donation to Good Samaritan Foundation to thank Cheri Potts and Christa Black for their skill, compassion, and kindness. Along with the donation we received a note of appreciation, part of which is below:

The NICU nurses will forever hold a special place in our hearts! There was no anxiety or concern when we had to leave our two little miracle babies behind.

I never thought that twenty years ago when this wonderful unit was built, that someday our family would be recipients of this superb care. Christa Black has an unbelievable group of nurses on her team! Each and every one who touched our twins cared for them in such a professional and loving way. I believe God has a way of putting people in our lives at certain times. Cheri Potts was our person, our guardian angel here on Earth. She provided technical skills, education, support, and love for our entire family. When we talk about going from good to great…. The NICU team is already there!

The Grateful Patients and Families Program allows a patient or their family to make a donation in honor of a physician, nurse, or team member who made a difference during their stay, and also share a brief note of thanks.

Donations made through the program provide support for projects and services in the Good Samaritan Region.
