A patient at Bethesda North Hospital recently made a donation through the Bethesda Foundation's Grateful Patient Program. David Duong, RN in the Emergency Department, was honored by a Grateful Patient.
The patient said in her note: “I was brought in by ambulance shaking from nerves and cold. Immediately, David brought me a warm blanked. He checked on me often and my IV drip. He went above and beyond and I’m very grateful. I arrived safely home and am doing much better.”
Simple gestures of kindness often mean the most to us. The Grateful Patient program gives patients and families the opportunity to recognize a physician, nurse or team member who made a difference in someone's life with a donation in their honor and a special note of thanks. Donations made through the Grateful Patient Program help fund innovative solutions to complex health problems and make state of the art technology available to all of our patients. The Grateful Patient Program gives patients the opportunity to give back to the hospital and team members that went above and beyond their expectations.
