The Society of Thoracic Surgeons (STS) has developed a comprehensive rating system for the quality of Coronary Artery Bypass surgery among hospitals across the country. Approximately 12 -15% of hospitals received the “3-star” rating, which denotes the highest category of quality. In the current analysis of national data covering the period from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019, the Coronary Artery Bypass surgery performance of Bethesda North Hospital was found to lie in this highest quality tier, thereby receiving an STS 3-star rating.
The team received a 3-Star CABG composite Quality Rating for following three Domains: Overall, Absence of Morbidity, and Medications.
