TriHealth Bridge

Mattson_GayleI am pleased to announce that Gayle Mattson, a seasoned healthcare and hospice leader with a strong track record of success, has been appointed our new president and chief executive officer for Hospice of Cincinnati. Gayle, who will start on June 3, replaces Sandra Lobert, who retired after serving nearly a decade in that role.

Gayle comes to us from Haven, which operates five inpatient hospice centers in northern Florida, where she has been president since 2016. While there, she developed new programs to better serve patients and families, while at the same time, implementing strategies to improve employee engagement. Prior to Haven, she served as chief operating officer of Pathways Home Health, Hospice and Private Duty in Sunnyvale, California.

Gayle spent the first 13 years of her career as a registered nurse at Allina Health in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Subsequently, she assumed administrative roles of increasing responsibility within Allina, including serving as president of Allina’s home care, hospice and palliative care business. She also served as president of North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, before joining Pathways in 2015.

In all of her roles, Gayle successfully implemented growth strategies, while enhancing the patient experience and fostering higher levels of employee engagement. In conducting our national search for Sandra’s replacement, which included administrative and clinical leadership in the selection process, Gayle’s experiences, proven results and leadership style rose to the top. We believe she will be a great addition to the TriHealth family.

Please join me in welcoming Gayle to TriHealth and Hospice of Cincinnati.
