Hi Team!

Last week, we wrapped up our summer series of Team Member Forums – and what a series it was! We broke attendance records and had lots of fun with fellow team members, including surprise visits from our Cincinnati Reds’ mascots. Most importantly, David Cook, Jenny Skinner and I had the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations with thousands of our team members, while answering your burning questions about our plans and progress to get healthcare right.

One of the consistent themes we heard at our forums was that you believe we are on the right track and are doing the right things to move TriHealth from good to great! We are encouraged by this feedback and proud of how far we’ve come together on our journey in such a short time. As we discussed though, the difference between good and great throughout TriHealth is often “consistency” – consistency in the adoption of our evidence-based safety, service and clinical practices, one patient at a time, Always.

Achieving this consistency requires all of us to recommit and rededicate ourselves to making the TriHealth Way our ONLY WAY...ALWAYS. Why? Because we know this is how we will deliver better care, better health, and better value, which is how we define “getting healthcare right”! And so this will be our major focus in the year ahead – moving from “sometimes” to “always” as the means to get us from good to great. I’ll share more details about this work and our plans for Fiscal Year 2020 (FY20) in next week’s New Year FY20 Special Edition of the Weekly Update.

As fiscal year 2019 comes to a close this month, please accept my deep appreciation for all you’ve done over the past year to make TriHealth a great place to work, to practice, and to receive the safest, highest quality care. Together, We ARE Getting Healthcare Right!!! And as a result of your hard work and ongoing feedback, TriHealth is increasingly being recognized and celebrated as a top industry performer and a model healthcare delivery system (IBM Watson Top 15 Health System, Anthem Best Performing Accountable Care Organization, Diversity Inc Top 6 Health System for Diversity Leadership, Leapfrog A Ratings for Safety, among others – all in just the last three months!!!).

This is no easy feat, especially given the unrelenting external challenges we face every day. Please know that your hard work and extra efforts are paying off, and are greatly appreciated by me, our Leadership Team, and Board – and most importantly, our patients! It takes a great team to make a great health system – and I am proud and privileged to work side-by-side with the greatest team in our industry! Thank you for choosing to be your best, and to give your best, to all those we serve.
