On Wednesday, November 20, The TriHealth Weight Management team and their patients gathered together for the annual Bariatric Support Group Party. There were approximately 60 guests who attended this annual celebration including patients, family, and friends joined with many members of the support team that includes surgeons, dietitians, nurses, and office staff. The group meets monthly and is open to anyone who is in the Good Samaritan bariatric surgery program or who has had bariatric surgery, including family and friends. Research shows that those who attend groups on a regular basis have a better weight-loss journey. The festivities included a gift basket raffle, ice breaker games, healthy snacks, photo slide presentation, and photo station. The theme this year was “Shining Stars”.
