11-AB-425xEmployees on 11AB at Good Samaritan have received three Spirit of Compassion donations from patients who appreciated the care they received.

One patient wrote in a note, "Treated very well," with a smiley face.

The wife of another patient said, "All the nurses and staff were very efficient and courteous. Explained what each medicine was and what for. The doctors attending my husband were very thorough and showed concern."

A grateful family said, "Our gift to 11AB staff is in appreciation for the exceptional care they have given to our family the last year and a half. Our father has been hospitalized many times since March 2013. He has been on 11AB almost every admission. The care he received and the concern shown to our whole family is superb. Even though a hospitalization is normally not a pleasant experience, we always look forward to interacting with all staff on 11AB.

Also, our son was an RN on 11AB prior to his untimely death. The love and support they have given us through our grief has made this whole experience manageable. God works through the people on 11AB and we see it every day. May God continue to bless them."

The Spirit of Compassion program allows a patient or his or her family to make a donation in honor of a Good Samaritan physician, nurse or staff member who made a difference during their stay, and also share a brief note of thanks.
