Hi Team –

I hope you had a fun and relaxing Labor Day weekend and enjoyed the picture-perfect weather. A big thank you to our team members and physicians who worked throughout the long holiday weekend to continue serving our patients across the region!

Welcome TriHealth Clinton Regional Hospital!

  • In June, we shared the exciting news of TriHealth’s plans to acquire Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington, OH. And over the weekend, we completed the acquisition process.
  • So, I’m thrilled to officially welcome the new TriHealth Clinton Regional Hospital (TCRH) to TriHealth as our system’s sixth hospital!
  • This is another significant milestone in our decade-long vision and strategy to:
    • Improve the health of our ever-growing patient population through our fully integrated network of hospitals, ambulatory campuses, service lines, and physician practices.
    • Strengthen our position as the region’s most trusted healthcare provider.
    • Ensure convenient access to TriHealth’s unique, best-in-class population health-based care for patients across Southwest Ohio and surrounding areas.
  • Over the next 18 months, we will fully integrate TCRH into TriHealth by extending our infrastructure and support services, including Information Systems (IS), Revenue Cycle, Supply Chain, and others.
  • During this time, the TCRH team, now supported by TriHealth physicians and leaders, will continue to provide uninterrupted care for our patients in Clinton County and surrounding communities, but now as part of TriHealth.
  • In the coming weeks, we will also be intentional about onboarding every TCRH team member and physician into our unique, patient-centered TriHealth Way culture. This is important because, as we know, this is what distinguishes TriHealth as a regional and national leader in providing “surprisingly human care that delivers exceptional outcomes, always!”
  • Additionally, we have launched planning with TCRH physicians and leaders to expand TriHealth clinical services and specialties into the Clinton County region.
  • Stay tuned for more details and news as we continue to work together to bring our unique, high-quality TriHealth care and service to Clinton County!

PACE of Cincinnati Opens Doors to Southwest Ohio

  • Getting Healthcare Right means providing accessible, affordable, and high-quality care to every member of our community.
  • And, with a growing number of aging, Medicare and Medicaid-eligible patients with multiple, complex conditions in our community, it is critical we deliver on this promise by responding to the special needs of this patient population.
  • So, I was excited to join Ohio State Representatives, Jean Schmidt and Cecil Thomas, Norwood Mayor Victor Schneider, Suzanne Burke, President of the Council on Aging, and our TriHealth and Hospice of Cincinnati team members and leaders last week for the grand opening ceremony for PACE of Cincinnati, TriHealth’s newest service and site of care. Click here for photos of the event.
  • PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) of Cincinnati was formed through a partnership between the Greater Cincinnati Council on Aging and TriHealth.
  • It is an innovative program that cares for older adults with complex medical and social conditions who wish to remain as independent as possible at home, rather than move into a long-term care facility. Interdisciplinary care teams work within a comprehensive and highly coordinated network to provide care and support to these individuals in their homes, living in the community.
  • Last year, TriHealth was chosen as the exclusive provider of PACE services for Southwest Ohio. This was in large part because of our comprehensive and highly integrated network of hospitals, ambulatory centers, service lines, and primary care and specialty physicians, along with our industry-leading work and progress to Get Healthcare Right.
  • A BIG thank you to our entire PACE team for their exceptional care and service that is allowing us to bring better care, better health, and better value to a growing elderly population in need.

TriHealth Elects New Board Chair and Vice Chair, Adds New Trustee

  • TriHealth is fortunate to have a talented and highly engaged Board of Trustees whose extensive business, leadership, and community service experience help us advance our mission and vision to Get Healthcare Right.
  • And all of our Trustees are volunteers who give selflessly of their time and talents to support TriHealth and the community we serve!
  • So, I’m pleased to share the latest, exciting updates to our Board of Trustees:
    • Ralph (Mike) Michael has been elected to serve as Chair of the Board. Mike previously served as Vice Chair. He replaces Kathy Kelly, who has served as Chair of the Board since 2022. She will remain on the Board as a trustee. Mike also serves as Chairman of the Cincinnati Region of Fifth Third Bank (Greater Cincinnati).
    • Cynthia Booth, President and CEO of Emerge Manufacturing, has been elected as Vice Chair of the Board. Cynthia has served on the TriHealth Board since 2020.
    • And Elizabeth Mangan, CEO of Miller-Valentine, will join the TriHealth Board of Trustees. Elizabeth replaces Phil Castellini, CEO of the Cincinnati Reds, who served on the TriHealth Board since 2016 and just rotated off due to term limits.
  • Please join me in thanking Mike and Cynthia for taking on these important board leadership roles and in welcoming Elizabeth to her new role as a TriHealth Trustee!
