Hi Team —
Happy Healthcare Appreciation Week!
- As we hit the midway point of our annual week-long celebration of National Nurses Week, National Hospital Week, and ALL of our amazing TriHealth team members and physicians, I hope you are enjoying the many fun activities, recognitions, and giveaways we’ve lined up for YOU – the very best healthcare team anywhere!
- Already this week, our senior leaders and I have had fun rounding in our hospitals, practices, ambulatory centers and shared services facilities across the system, connecting with – and THANKING – you for your exceptional service to our patients and fellow team members.
- Your passion, energy, and commitment to “see, hear, and heal” our patients have been evident in every conversation, confirming that our TriHealth culture and work to Get Healthcare Right is thriving! Click here to check out some of the fun interactions and moments. And we plan to continue our rounding throughout the remainder of the week, but that’s not all!
- Be sure to tune in today at noon on Bridge for a very special Healthcare Appreciation Week Town Hall, where we will:
- Unveil the winning design of our 2025 Healthcare Appreciation Week t-shirt from these three finalists:
- Announce the winners of our Unsung Heroes contest
- Give away great TriHealth prizes to more than 100 team members
- Share details on how you can win a pair of suite tickets to a Reds vs. Yankees game in June, and more!
- During Healthcare Appreciation Week, we are providing every team member and physician with a voucher for a free LaRosa’s meal to enjoy with family. We are also celebrating you throughout the week with tasty treats from Busken Bakery, along with fun trivia games and prizes galore. And don’t forget, every member of our TriHealth Team will receive a free, super comfy Healthcare Appreciation Week t-shirt! All of this is just one more way we are making clear just how much we appreciate everything you do in service to our patients, our community, and each other!
- And TriHealth’s appreciation for you – the best healthcare team anywhere – extends beyond our leaders. The TriHealth Board of Trustees issued a resolution this week to honor and formally commend “all TriHealth team members and physicians for their service to TriHealth and the community to Get Healthcare Right.” Click here to read the entire resolution.
- Because of you and your commitment to bring our brand promise to life – “seeing, hearing, healing… to deliver surprisingly human care that drives exceptional outcomes” – our patients are healthier, our services are more accessible, and our care is safer and more affordable. And we have emerged as the region’s most trusted and preferred health system! That is what Getting Healthcare Right is all about, and we simply could not do any of this without each and every one of you!
Getting Healthcare Right Through an Integrated System of Care and Centers of Excellence: Electrophysiology Services
- And speaking of celebrating you and your amazing work, another shining example of our collective efforts to transform healthcare for the better can be found in our Clinical Centers of Excellence.
- So, today I’m pleased to share how TriHealth is Getting Healthcare Right through the Electrophysiology (EP) Division of the TriHealth Heart and Vascular Institute (THVI).
- Last year, THVI’s electrophysiology division celebrated a major milestone when it performed its 1,500th Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion (LAAO) implant. This procedure helps in preventing strokes and eliminates the need to take blood thinners for many patients with atrial fibrillation. The end result is a reduction in the risk of stroke and bleeding, which ultimately means better health outcomes and lives saved!!
- Additionally, the THVI team has implemented a revolutionary technology, known as Pulse Field ablation, to cure or reduce arrhythmia, such as atrial fibrillation, in patients.
- Up until now, the two methods of performing ablation were typically heat or freezing. Pulse Field ablation uses high-voltage energy for very short durations to target only electrical cells in the cardiac tissue. For patients, this results in a faster, safer procedure with less collateral damage.
- Thanks to the “cutting edge” clinical expertise of THVI’s EP providers and team members, Bethesda North has become the region’s premier destination for the most advanced clinical care and research in this field. Currently, the division is participating in numerous clinical trials and studies designed to continue innovating and improving the outcomes for cardiac patients.
- These are just two impactful examples – among many – that highlight why we made the bold decision to relocate THVI to the campus of Bethesda North in 2018. That groundbreaking move enabled THVI, including the electrophysiology and other divisions, to pioneer the latest advancements in cardiac and vascular therapies and procedures, garnering the attention of patients locally and throughout the world!
- A BIG thank you to Dr. Gaurang Gandhi, Medical Director of EP, and all of THVI’s physicians, clinicians and team members for leading the way and showing what it means to Get Healthcare Right!!!
I hope you enjoy the rest of Healthcare Appreciation Week and feel a great sense of pride in how much you are valued, respected, and appreciated by our TriHealth leaders, our patients, and the entire community! THANK YOU for all that you ARE and all that you DO to help us deliver exceptional, “surprisingly human” care and improved health...to every individual we serve, every time!!
