On Wednesday, May 8, nearly 250 volunteers, guests and TriHealth leaders gathered for the Volunteer Recognition Dinner at the Oasis Conference Center in Loveland, Ohio.
The theme for the event was Wild About Volunteers, and the celebration included social hour, appetizers and dinner. The tables were decorated with ferns, safari animals, animal print runners and gold votives. Cool Critters, a Cincinnati Animal Education and Rescue Organization, brought animals for the social time prior to dinner and the meal was complimented with a steel drum bad to the backdrop of an animal safari slide show!
Frank Nation opened the evening with a Reflection & Prayer followed by remarks from Mark Clement, President & CEO. Later in the evening Jenny Skinner, Chief Nursing Executive, shared sentiments from nurse leaders to volunteers. Some of these included:
- Thank you for your impact on patient care from wayfinding to playing the piano and beyond!
- Thank you so much for the countless hours of knitting our baby hats. We absolutely love providing these to our families!
- Thank you to our healing touch volunteers who help not only our patients but our nurses too!
- Thank you to our mended heart volunteers. What a wonderful support you provide to patients as you have been there and done that!
- Pet therapy immediately brings smiles to all on the unit the second we see the pup and owner!
