Monthly Digital Focus

With May being Stroke Awareness Month, we wanted to highlight the awesome teams that make up the TriHealth Neuroscience Institute who not only treat strokes, but also a wide range of neurological conditions! Our creative focused on the importance of acting quickly to treat a stroke, with the main tagline “Every second counts.”

Sara Penhale, Neuroscience Patient

When Sara straps up her boxing gloves, she’s not training to fight a competitor – instead, she’s fighting the progression of Parkinson’s Disease. Read more about her training with Rock Steady Boxing, an organization providing boxing classes to individuals with Parkinson’s in the article here.

Tim Burke, Heart Patient

After getting an ECHO from the TriHealth Heart & Vascular Institute when he began feeling faint and light-headed at work, Tim found out that he had a heart murmur and would need multiple stents to fix the issue. Jamie Hughes, Stroke Patient

A high-school junior acted quickly and ultimately properly diagnosed his own mother’s stroke as she was having it, assessing her using the BE FAST stroke recognition criteria that he had just learned in school. Read the full story from Jamie’s perspective at the article here.

Good Samaritan patient Justice Woods spoke with Local12 about the CortexFlo camera, a new advanced imaging system at Good Samaritan Hospital that helps domestic violence survivors by detecting injuries that exist underneath the skin and may not be immediately visible, particularly in those with darker skin tones. Recognizing the TriHealth Way – Event & Celebration Highlights

TriHealth Neuroscience Institute hosts 2nd Annual Neuroscience Conference

More than 200 clinicians from throughout the region participated in the second annual “Stroke Care Today and Tomorrow” conference, presented by the TriHealth Neuroscience Institute! The conference featured keynotes from nationally-recognized stroke experts and was intended to continue raising awareness for earlier recognition and higher-quality stroke care.

TriHealth School-to-Work Program partnership with Cincinnati Public Schools holds 2024 Graduation

The TriHealth School-to-Work Program, a partnership with CPS that allows high school juniors and seniors to gain real-world healthcare experience by rotating through and shadowing clinicians at a multitude of jobs within Good Samaritan Hospital, held their 2024 graduation this month! Xavier University hosts Annual TriHealth Nursing Recognition Celebration Dinner

To kick of Nurses Week this year, our partners at Xavier University graciously hosted the TriHealth Nursing Recognition Celebration Dinner, where more than 250 of our amazing nurses were recognized for professional excellence. Thank you everyone who was able to attend, and to all of our nurses throughout TriHealth!

Leadership honors volunteers at 2024 TriHealth Volunteer Dinner

Some TriHealth leaders had the privilege of honoring our wonderful volunteers that selflessly give their time to help our patients feel seen and heard. Thank you to all the volunteers that came out, and to any across the system that weren’t able to make it – we appreciate you all!
