June 20 marks the official start of summer, and TriHealth is hard at work preparing for the ultimate summer party – the Summer Celebration at Kings Island on Sunday, September 8.

Kings Island will be open from 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM on Sunday, September 8. Although Soak City will already be closed for the season on the date of the Summer Celebration, you can still cool off on Kings Island water rides like Congo Falls or Charlie Brown’s Rushing River Log Ride.

We wanted to share a few event enhancements as you start making plans to attend the 2024 Summer Celebration.

Semi-Private Rental of Kings Island on Sunday, September 8

Kings Island will be closed to the public on Sunday, September 8, meaning that the majority of those in attendance will be TriHealth team members, physicians, volunteers, and their guests, and there will be even more opportunities for celebration and connection with less people in attendance than a normal operating day. Because of this, you can expect to see shorter lines throughout Kings Island!

After the Kings Island online ticketing site opens in early August, you can order your two FREE tickets to join in the celebration. Additionally, you can purchase up to four discounted tickets for $10 each to bring even more friends or family members. Each ticket includes FREE parking, a FREE Single Meal Deal and FREE drinks all day throughout the park!

Summer Celebration Tickets vs. Season Pass

The semi-private rental of Kings Island means that the park is closed to the public. Because of this, Season Passes cannot be used to enter the park. Instead, you must hold a ticket that was ordered through TriHealth’s Kings Island ticket site.

We encourage you to take advantage of the free and discounted tickets offered through TriHealth to share this special day of celebration with your guests. 

Enjoy a FREE Single Meal Deal

New for this year! Each ticket ordered through TriHealth’s Kings Island ticket site includes a free Single Meal Deal (1 entrée + 1 side + 1 fountain drink) redeemable at over 15 restaurants. You can redeem your Single Meal Deal at any time of day at restaurants located throughout the park – meaning you no longer need to plan to visit the Picnic Grove at a designated time. Click here to find the full list of Kings Island dining options and use the filtering tool to Select Dining Plan as “Single Meal Deal”.

More information will be shared throughout the summer before the ticketing site opens in early August. We hope to see you at the Summer Celebration at Kings Island on Sunday, September 8!

Is it anyway possible the staff that work that day can get another free day @ kings island. Every year some employees have to work that weekend and its the same weekend every year. We want to enjoy our co-workers and ourselves outside of work. Thank you for allowing the comments

The only reason I go to Kings Island is for Soak City, so it is unfortunate that a date was chosen after the waterpark is closed.

Although I'm very sad about Soak City, I definitely appreciate the park not being open to the public. Its more enjoyable not to have super long lines for everything! TriHealth is not a small organization. LOL
