At a recent Good Samaritan Safety Huddle, the Clinical Decision Observation Unit (CDU) was recognized because the team has opened and kept 6CDU going during very high census while also running 7CDU. This is a challenging area to work with a rapid pace and level of complexity. The team handles the observation of patients with consistent grace and professionalism! This unit can reduce GSH admissions whenever they can, which helps tremendously with throughput efforts.

Each team member received a $10 gift card valid at Nurture Gift Shop and Nourish Coffee Shop in celebration of their hard work.

The Good Samaritan Hospital Guild honors a Good Samaritan team or department each month. The Guild is associated with Good Samaritan Foundation and funds special projects and programs at the hospital to benefit patients, visitors, and all who work at Good Sam.

Congratulations to the CDU team!
