“We continue to be impressed by how well your team has executed this cardiometabolic project,” stated Cardiometabolic Center Alliance (CMCA) program consultant Jill Soenen, MSN, APRN-C, following a recent site visit to TriHealth. She and Melissa Magwire, RN, MSN, CDCES, Program Director, CMCA, traveled from their Kansas City, MO, headquarters in September to spend a day shadowing TriHealth’s Cardiometabolic Clinic at Good Samaritan Hospital and meeting with care providers in various specialties who have been partnering to develop TriHealth Heart & Vascular Institute’s Cardiometabolic program.

According to Magwire, “TriHealth’s execution, coordination and alignment across multiple specialties and provider teams to create a unique model of care truly sets them apart when it comes to providing care to those patients living with cardiometabolic disease.”

The year-old THVI Cardiometabolic Clinic brings together specialists from Cardiology, Endocrinology, Nephrology, Weight Management and Dietetics to coordinate and improve the quality of care for patients with type 2 diabetes and related cardiovascular and renal comorbidities. TriHealth Program Director, Cardiologist Kamal Shemisa MD, and the multi-specialty team look forward to continued involvement with CMCA for the benefit of patients.
