At the Good Samaritan Safety Huddle, the NICU staff were presented with the February Guild Award for being role models for best practices for nursing across Good Samaritan Hospital, uniting during high-volume and acuity and picking up an additional 195 hours during January with 80 admissions. Their leadership team is fearless and kind. They were able to attain zero Central Line Associated Bloodstream Infection since August 2, 2022, and zero necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) in January and February. They also gained 42 new team members last year.

Each team member in the department received a $10 gift card valid at Nurture Gift Shop and Nourish Coffee Shop in celebration of their hard work.

Each month, a Good Samaritan team or department is honored by the Good Samaritan Hospital Guild. The Guild is associated with Good Samaritan Foundation and funds special projects and programs at the hospital to benefit patients, visitors, and all who work at Good Sam.

Congratulations to the NICU staff!
