If you see a lot of red this February, it’s because the American Heart Association (AHA) is using their “team color” to spread the word all through February about cardiovascular disease -- because education can lead to saving lives. TriHealth is joining in that effort by encouraging everyone to wear red on Friday, February 3, and share their pictures on social media. Team members are invited to take part in several other activities throughout the coming months.

TriHealth Healthy Heart Day, Friday, February 3

The TriHealth Heart & Vascular Institute (THVI) and TriHealth Lifestyles will be at the Bethesda North and Good Samaritan cafeterias from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, February 3, with healthy heart information, giveaways and a prize raffle for those who register for the AHA Heart Mini-Marathon & Walk (see details below). Watch for Lifestyles and THVI as they tour other TriHealth locations over the next few months, bringing heart healthy information and goodies. Download this flyer for complete details. 

AHA Heart Mini-Marathon & Walk on Sunday, March 19

The TriHealth Heart & Vascular Institute is teaming up with TriHealth Lifestyles to get people moving toward better heart health for themselves and others. One way to get involved is through joining a TriHealth team for the AHA Heart Mini-Marathon & Walk on Sunday, March 19, downtown Cincinnati. Click here to get involved.

Pick an event that suits you, bring your family and friends and meet up with TriHealth team members:

7:30 a.m. - ½ Marathon (timed event) – ages 15 and up
7:30 a.m. – 15K (timed event) – ages 15 and up
9:45 a.m. – 5K Race (timed event) – ages 8 and up
10 a.m. – 1K Steps for Stroke
10:30 a.m. – 1.5K Kids Race (timed event) – ages 5-12
11 a.m. – 5K Walk

Register by February 20 to receive a TriHealth-logoed AHA Heart Mini t-shirt and your bib mailed to you directly. (Registrants after February 20 will need to pick up their materials.)

Lifestyles will provide a fun challenge each Wednesday in February to get team members moving and thinking healthy. Watch Bridge for information each week.
