A Walk to Remember, sponsored by TriHealth Perinatal Programs and the Greater Cincinnati Consortium for Perinatal Loss and Grief, is held on the first Sunday of October each year to kick off National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month. This walk is an opportunity for parents, families, friends and healthcare professionals to gather together to remember and honor the babies lost during pregnancy, shortly after birth or in the first months of life.
This year’s Walk to Remember will take place on Sunday, October 3, 2021 at 2pm at Oak Hill Cemetery, 11200 Princeton Pike, Cincinnati, OH 45246. The walking path is stroller and handicap accessible. The walk will be held rain or shine. We will be sure to update this story if the walk happens to be cancelled due to COVID.
The group will gather around the Christmas Box Angel Statue at 2pm for the memorial service and walk around the lake then return to the Angel Statue for a butterfly release. They also have a children’s activity tent for your other children along with the other information stations.
All are welcome to join! No need to RSVP. We suggest you arrive early. For more information, please call Melisse Herkins or Susan Thomas at 513-862-1163.
