TriHealth Bridge

November 11, 2021

The prestigious African American Leadership Development Program (AALDP) has cultivated African American leaders in the Greater Cincinnati region for nearly 30 years. More than 850 AALDP Alumni are part of the fabric of our local community and communities all over the country. The Urban League of Greater Southwestern Ohio is proud to announce the selection of 16 leaders for Class 28, which includes three TriHealth leaders:

  • Darneesha Figgs, Director of Diversity, Inclusion and Language Services
  • Stacy Kelly, Director of Critical Care, Bethesda North Emergency Department, Clinical Decision Unit and Telemetry
  • Charisse Troutman, Managed Care Insight Analyst and Chair of TRIBE (TriHealth Resource Initiatives for Black Employees)

These leaders are ready to grapple with, explore and resolve issues that impact the members of our community and us. Congratulations to these TriHealth leaders for being named to this newest AALDP cohort! You can learn more about each of these leaders below.

Darneesha Figgs, MSM, MBA | Director of Diversity, Inclusion & Language Services
Darneesha has served as a leader at TriHealth for the past three years, currently serving as Director of Diversity, Inclusion and Language Services. Prior to joining the Diversity team, she served as a Patient Experience leader for two years, and also led the TRIBE ERG as its first co-chair. Darneesha's healthcare journey has included serving for five years as a Project Manager and leader in Patient Experience at University of Cincinnati Medical Center, where she also led their newly formed Diversity Advisory Council. Previously, she led community-based projects in partnership with Cincinnati Children's Foster Care Clinic as a frontline leader and project manager.

"I am both honored and humbled to have been accepted to participate in the Urban League’s African American Leadership Development Program. For me, this is a great opportunity to align with other community leaders, to learn and grow together but not for the sole purpose of advancing our own careers and agendas. I believe that this program will allow us to align and serve as instruments, working to further address the many concerns that we face in the greater Cincinnati region, and supporting the communities in which we serve."

Stacy Kelly, MSN RN CNML | Director, Critical Care, North Emergency Department, Clinical Decision Unit and Telemetry
Stacy began her TriHealth career TriHealth in July 2000 and has been on a progressive leadership track since then. Stacy was born and raised in Owensboro, Kentucky, and has been married for 26 years and has three children. She is currently enrolled in the DNP program at Mount Saint University with an anticipated graduation date of May 2023.

"When I received the invitation to apply to the Urban League's African American Leadership Development Program, I was very excited for the opportunity to expand my leadership abilities.  I truly have a lifelong passion for learning and development and this was an area in my life that I wanted to strengthen; particularly  my networking and connectivity in the community. I felt the Urban League of Southwest Ohio would be a great platform and path in the right direction for providing me with additional access to our community and other great leaders!  Partnering with the Urban League enhances this access and I hope that upon completion of the program, I will be a stronger more validated leader and will continue to share my talents with everyone I have pledged to serve."

Charisse Troutman | Managed Care Insight Analyst and Chair for TRIBE
Charisse currently serves as the Managed Care Insight Analyst for TriHealth. She joined TriHealth in 2017, after working for UC Health for more than 10 years. During her time with UC Health she was able to cultivate a love for healthcare by working in multiple areas from Patient Access to Contracting. Prior to UC Health, Charisse worked for three financial institutions where she developed knowledge in Finance Strategy. Currently enrolled in Southern New Hampshire University, she plans to continue her career in healthcare finance and expand to healthcare analytics. Charisse is also holds an Epic Certification in Resolute Hospital Billing.

Charisse has a passion for community work and volunteers with American Cancer Society, Girls on the Run of Greater Cincinnati, and Leadership Scholars. In May 2021, Charisse was elected as Chair for TRIBE thanks to her diligent work in the Community Engagement sector. Charisse is the proud parent of a fifteen year old daughter, Kiley and 8 year old Maltese, Chloe.
