Following a collaborative internal selection process, Jamie Easterling, currently President and Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Good Samaritan Hospital, has been selected to serve as the next President and COO of Bethesda North Hospital. Jamie assumes this role following the recently announced departure of London Quicci.
Jamie stood out as the consensus choice during the selection process thanks to his extraordinary leadership blend of people, business and healthcare operations skills. His leadership of Good Samaritan Hospital since 2014, including serving as President and COO for the past two years, and proven track record of leading complex healthcare operations while overseeing the consistent delivery of clinical, safety, and financial results has prepared him for a seamless transition to Bethesda North. And in some ways, it is a homecoming of sorts for Jamie, who began his TriHealth career leading the Bethesda North Radiology department for 10 years prior to moving to system leadership and later Good Samaritan leadership positions.
Under Jamie’s leadership, Good Samaritan Hospital has continued to rank as one of Ohio’s top birthing hospitals over the past six years while also being named among the region’s and state’s top hospitals by US News & World Report. During this time, he has helped lead efforts resulting in advanced certification recognitions of 10 Good Samaritan clinical programs by The Joint Commission, further enhancing the hospital’s clinical quality profile. Good Samaritan Hospital has also witnessed improved Press Ganey patient experience scores which now rank in the top decile nationally for Inpatient Hospital Satisfaction. Jamie has been instrumental in the development and implementation of $57 million in capital improvements to the Good Samaritan Hospital campus and Good Samaritan region facilities, including the recent expansion of the Western Ridge campus and the opening of the new TriHealth OB-Gyn Center. He hands over to his successor a recently approved multi-year $140 million investment to modernize the Good Samaritan Hospital, while addressing access and patient wayfinding—all of which will further secure the future of Good Sam as one of the region’s premier hospitals for decades to come.
Jamie’s transition to his new role at Bethesda North Hospital is yet another example of the growth, development and advancement of our people which has been supported through the TriHealth Way over the past five years. TriHealth is fortunate to have found the right person from within our own system to take on the responsibility of leading and growing Bethesda North. Jamie will work in collaboration with our Bethesda North physicians, leaders, and John Ward, Senior Vice President of Regional Operations for the Bethesda North Region, to help implement our vision and strategic plan in continuing to develop and transform the Bethesda North campus—together with Good Sam—into our system’s destinations for the highest quality tertiary patient care anywhere.
With Jamie’s appointment, a search process has begun to identify and consider candidates for the Good Sam President and COO role. This search process will similarly focus on internal candidates.
Please join us in congratulating Jamie and assisting him in anyway necessary as he takes on this new and critically important role as President & COO of Bethesda North Hospital.
