Walking through the College with Admissions Recruiters Dar Derthick and Santos Robles, students got a hands-on experience of the SIMS (simulation) lab and a socially distanced tour of a couple floors of Good Samaritan Hospital. (Photo on the left: Joann Sommer, Associate Professor, SIMS Lab)
The highlight of the event was the opportunity for current nursing students Shawn Mansour and Sami Duckworth to provide an informal Q&A to the Butler Tech students. Shawn, a father of three and Texas native currently in his second year at GSC, offered his perspective and experience. Sami, currently President of GSC’s Student Government Association, will continue her work on clinical rotations in the fall semester.
