TriHealth Bridge

June 16, 2021

We are excited to announce a change to the timing of our Education Assistance Program available through Bright Horizons EdAssist Solutions.

Beginning January 1, 2022, the Education Assistance benefit will shift from a fiscal plan year benefit (July 1, 2021-June 30, 2022) to a calendar plan year benefit (January 1, 2022-December 31, 2022).

This change aligns with the Health and Welfare Benefits change at the beginning of 2020, streamlining all benefits to be administered on a calendar year basis. We hope team members will also find this timing will better align with their school calendar and make it easier to track their used benefit dollars.

Short Plan Year
In preparation for the transition, there will be a short plan year for the Education Assistance benefit from July 1, 2021 to December 31, 2021.

Short Plan Year Tuition Reimbursement Limits
We know this change may impact team members’ education plans and financial considerations. We are setting short plan year tuition reimbursement limits at $3,000 FT/ $2,000 PT, which is $500 greater than half of a full-year total to reduce any impacts on team members’ financial well-being.

What This Means for Team Members
The last day of team members’ course will dictate which Education Assistance Program plan year applies (July 2020-June 2021 or July 2021-December 2021 or January 2022-December 2022).

As always, TriHealth is committed to supporting team members’ career paths and professional development with opportunities like cohorts and apprenticeships offered at a reduced cost through TriHealth-negotiated partnerships.

We know that many working adults create multi-year plans to ensure they can earn a degree while managing their work-life balance, school workload and expense, which is why we are sharing this in advance of any changes to the Education Assistance Program timing.
