Stephanie Lambers M.Ed., OTR/L, TriHealth Community Benefit/Special Projects Consultant, was one of 15 Occupational Therapists across the nation selected as a panelist for the American Occupational Therapy Association Momentum Summit on June 3 and 4, 2021.
The focus of the panel was Building Workforce Capacity for Occupational Therapy in the Community with a focus on Driving, Access, Behavioral and Population Health. Lambers contributed on the national panel for Access to Care: Exemplars and Opportunities. Lambers presented on injury prevention programs overseen by TriHealth Community Benefit, including: Think First for Your Baby, TriHealth Cribs for Kids, Think First for Teens, CrossTown Concussion Crew, CarFit for Seniors, STEPPING ON Evidence Based Fall Prevention Program, Tai Chi for Health and Think First to Prevent Falls.
During her time on the panel, Lambers also addressed TriHealth team member service projects for Access to Care, such as handrail installations and ramp builds with local non-profit People Working Cooperatively. She focused on Access to Care, Disability Awareness and Social Determinants of Health for the populations that we SERVE in the community. She also stressed the importance of the role of Community Benefit programs to support our tax-exempt status as a healthcare system. Lamber's unique role as an Occupational Therapist who writes and implements (along with her amazing team) multiple grant-funded programs was incorporated as a springboard to influence the profession and inspire Occupational Therapy toward innovation for the future.
