TriHealth Bridge

October 19, 2020

This week we celebrate three recognition weeks: Health System Pharmacy Week, Medical Assistants Week and Healthcare Quality Week. We want to acknowledge the hard work of each of these teams over the last year, as they each play a vital role in The TriHealth Way of Delivering Care and our commitment to Getting Healthcare Right.

Our pharmacy team members are a vital part of the patient care team, working with physicians, nurses, respiratory therapists, dietitians, social workers, case workers, and others to ensure that the medications prescribed to patients are the correct ones, given in the correct doses at the proper times. The service and clinical expertise of our pharmacy team members ensure that patients receive safe and effective medications, helping us provide the safest, most reliable care possible to all our patients.

Medical assistants across the country are recognized and honored on Medical Assistants Recognition Day. Medical assistants are important members of the healthcare delivery team, working in both administrative and clinical functions. They are versatile and, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, medical assisting is one of the fast-growing occupations. In ambulatory and hospital settings, the dedicated service and clinical skills of our Medical Assistants ensure we deliver safe, reliable care.

Our team members in Quality are guiding our work as we become a High Reliability Organization (HRO), leading the way to zero incidents of preventable harm across TriHealth. Healthcare quality and patient safety are deeply connected and are central in our efforts to provide safe, effective, patient-centered, equitable and efficient care to all our patients.

Now more than ever, as we work to keep our facilities safe and ready during the COVID-19 pandemic, the work of each of these teams could not be more critical! Each of these teams helps us provide truly exceptional care and we are grateful for all that they do in helping us SERVE our community.
