The holiday season seems to come upon us quickly, typically bringing excitement and some normal holiday stress, but this year adds new challenges with a pandemic and a rise in COVID cases. It is times like these when many of our faith traditions help us pause to keep a deeper perspective and meaning of the holiday season.
We are a community of diverse faiths and traditions. Our mission and values call us to respect our spiritual heritage as a system as well as the spiritual heritage of others, respecting and appreciating all people.
Some of the holidays this season include:
- Advent: Sunday, November 29 - Thursday, December 24
- Hanukkah: Thursday, December 10 - Friday, December 18
- Las Posadas: Wednesday, December 16 - Thursday, December 24
- Christmas: Friday, December 25
- Kwanzaa: Saturday, December 26 - Friday, January 1
- Hajj: Tuesday, July 28 - Sunday, August 2 (celebrated earlier this year)

As we move into the busy part of the holiday season, we encourage team members to find times to enjoy the simple things, connecting to loved ones, enabling us to be stronger to care for one another and our community.
Happy Holidays!

If we're not consistent in acknowledgement of our diverse being, we tend to ignore...This is a good step into being consistent
