TriHealth Bridge

April 13, 2020

Cathy French, who has been serving as the interim Chief Information Officer since September 2019, will assume the role of Senior Vice President (SVP) and Chief Information Officer (CIO) at TriHealth effective immediately. Cathy succeeds John Ward, who stepped into the SVP of the Bethesda North Region also in September.

Since starting her career as a staff nurse at TriHealth in 1979, Cathy has taken on and excelled in progressively more responsible leadership roles in Information Systems (IS), including Project Leader, Manager, Director and Senior Director, always serving as an advocate for patients and team members. For the last five years, she has successfully led and managed all IT day-to-day operations across the TriHealth enterprise while partnering with system leaders to develop and execute TriHealth’s IT plan in support of our strategic and operational needs.

Cathy’s exceptional leadership of TriHealth’s IS operations as interim CIO has shone over the past seven months, particularly most recently as part of TriHealth’s planning and response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Under Cathy’s leadership, we have quickly and seamlessly been able to dramatically expand TriHealth’s network to support a rapid and dramatic increase of more than 1,000 team members who are now working remotely from home. At the same time, the IT team has initiated the build out of telehealth options – from the deployment of bedside iPads for “virtual rounding” to Epic-integrated video, phone and messaging platforms to support telehealth patient care – all to reduce the spread of COVID-19 while continuing to care for our entire community.

Please congratulate Cathy as she takes on this crucial leadership role for TriHealth.
