TriHealth Bridge

November 06, 2019

Thanks to the generosity of The Bethesda Foundation, Good Samaritan Foundation and TriHealth, our Breast Care team is launching a new 3D mobile mammography. The van will begin serving patients on November 11. TriHealth team members will be able to schedule appointments at Baldwin and Norwood in the near future.

The new van has the latest, next generation 3D technology with a unique wide 50-degree angle, providing the industry’s highest depth resolution. These advances capture more detail and enable earlier detection of even subtle lesions.

In addition to the advanced quality diagnostics of the new 3D mammography, there are added breakthroughs associated with the comfort of the screening. The new van allows TriHealth to continue our mission of improving the health of the people we serve by bringing this advanced technology to the community.

Other features of the new Mammography Van include:

  • The new van does not require a commercial driver’s license (CDL) to operate. Though team members will still receive customized training to operate the vehicle, eliminating the CDL requirement makes it easier to recruit staff to operate the vehicle.
  • The van is shorter than most mobile coaches (7 feet shorter than our previous coach), allowing us access to more locations than before.
